Submissions

Pear Blossom Books accepts fiction submissions across our active imprints. While we do not yet publish under a dedicated nonfiction imprint, we are interested in reviewing select nonfiction queries and proposals. These may include devotionals, narrative nonfiction, Christian living, or topic‑driven works that reflect the themes Pear Blossom champions—hope, resilience, faith, and spiritual growth.

We will call for specific submissions from time to time for our Traditional Publishing Model. To receive notifications about these, please sign-up for our newsletter. 

Nonfiction submissions may require additional evaluation time as we continue shaping our nonfiction program. We are not looking for memoir at this time.

Queries: If you’re unsure whether your project aligns with Pear Blossom Books’ mission, you’re welcome to send a simple query first. You do not need a polished proposal or sample chapters to send a query. A simple email is enough to begin the conversation.

Your query may include:
• A brief description of your project (2–4 sentences)
• The intended audience
• Why you believe it may be a fit for PBB
• A short author bio

To ensure a smooth review process, please prepare your materials according to the Proposal Guidelines below. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines or standard manuscript formatting may be returned for revision before review.

  • A 2–3 sentence, emotionally compelling teaser that captures the heart of the story.
• BRIEF DESCRIPTION
  • A polished, marketing‑ready summary (150–250 words) introducing the protagonist, core conflict, stakes, and emotional arc.
• TARGET AUDIENCE
  • List the primary and secondary readership groups:
    • Include interest-based groups, regional relevance, and comparable author readership.
• MANUSCRIPT DETAILS
  • • • Genre, word count, status (complete / completed in _days)
      • Special features, glossaries, maps, appendices, historical notes, etc.)
      • Series info (if applicable)
• RIGHTS OFFERED & INCLUSIONS
  • • Specify which rights you are offering:
    • World / North America / translation / audio / dramatic / film
    • Digital / Print

• FULL SYNOPSIS FOR FICTION
  • One to two-page, single-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman
  • Capitalize each major character’s name the first time it is used
  • Present tense, third person (regardless of POV of the manuscript)
  • Include major turning points, character arcs, and resolutions
  • This section should read like a clear, narrative, sequential summary
• NONFICTION
  • Submit your table of contents.
