The Collaborative Partnership model is a reduced‑fee hybrid option for authors who want to be more actively involved in the publishing process. Instead of a purely transactional arrangement, this model invites the author to work alongside Pear Blossom Books in selected areas of the publishing pipeline in exchange for a lower upfront fee.

You are not “doing it yourself”—you are joining a team.

How it works

• Professional publishing, same standards

• Your book still receives full editorial attention, professional design, and publication under the Pear Blossom Books imprint.

• We maintain the same quality and mission alignment as with all our titles.

• Reduced author fee

• Collaborative options (A and B) offer a lower fee than our general hybrid options.

• In return, you contribute time and skills in agreed‑upon areas.

• Meaningful author participation

  Specific tasks are defined in your Author Agreement, so expectations are clear. Depending on your gifts and availability, you may help with:

• Beta reading or sensitivity reading for other titles

• Proofreading passes

• Launch team support and reader outreach

• Social media or newsletter collaboration

• Event support or networking opportunities

• Administrative support tasks

• Royalties and rights

  • You retain your rights; Pear Blossom Books holds time‑bound exclusivity for distribution.

  • You receive a generous royalty share (50% or 70%, depending on your chosen option).
