Our Publishing Model

Pear Blossom Books operates as a mission-driven hybrid publisher rooted in John 15:16: “I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.” We cultivate books—fiction and nonfiction—that bear lasting fruit by inspiring faith, courage, and conviction. We follow the IBPA Hybrid Publisher Criteria, ensuring integrity, transparency, professional quality, and ethical business practices at every stage of the publishing process.

Publishing with Pear Blossom Books is a shared investment of calling, craft, resources, and purpose. Authors retain full rights to their work while we provide editorial excellence, professional design, strategic branding, and distribution. Together, we bring forward books that inspire faith, courage, and conviction.

Contract Options

We offer four clear publishing options, each balancing author investment and royalty share. All options include professional editing, design, production, and wide distribution under the Pear Blossom Books imprint. Professional cover design is not included in non-traditional options and is quoted separately based on the project’s needs.

Traditional Publishing

Our publishing model is intentionally adaptable. In addition to our hybrid options, Pear Blossom Books may occasionally extend a traditional publishing offer for manuscripts or anthologies that strongly align with our mission. These projects involve no upfront cost to the author, and royalty structures vary depending on the scope and number of contributors.

Collaborative / Partnership Options*

*The Collaborative Partnership Model

For authors who want a deeper connection to the publishing process, Pear Blossom Books offers a Collaborative Partnership option. Authors contribute to selected parts of the company’s publishing pipeline—such as proofreading, launch support, and general publishing assistant tasks. In return, they receive a reduced publishing fee while maintaining a professional royalty share.

This model reflects our belief that publishing is not merely a business, but a shared calling. Authors who join us in this collaborative approach become part of the Pear Blossom Books community, helping bring not only their own book but also others’ books to fruition.
